The yolks in the eggs laid by my Cuckoo Marans have always been very firm but recently they seem to be breaking more often when we put them in the pan. I wonder if this is something nutritional. The hens are freeranging a lot, and don't always eat a lot of their feed since they have so many other sources of food.
