She is a Speckled Sussex. ...got her from our local farmers store..

I have a speckled Sussex too and I like her a lot. Like yours, she always seemed extra greedy for treats - while still in the brooder, she would try to climb out onto the door to get to the treats faster! Startled our farm sitter when she climbed right out into his arms!

LOL. I had a SS named Dot. She was best friends with my BO Alberta. They went everywhere together- I referred to them as sisters. They like to have ate me out of house and home- they really loved their groceries. When Alberta was setting on eggs, Dot would visit her daily- I even found an extra egg in the clutch that Alberta was hatching.

I used to have 3 SS in my previous flock...they were great girls, loved them. My favorite out of the 3 was the littlest one, she was slow to grow and at the very bottom of the pecking order. She learned from an early age to be leery of the bigger girls and was sooo fast, no one could catch her! It took time but that gal ate and ate until she caught up with them, lol.

If I could have found SS up here in WY where we moved to, I would definitely have got more...they're a wonderful breed!
