I was given 4 hens last year. I am up to 10. Someone wants to give me a couple more production reds. I want them. DH is dicouraging me. He is afraid that I will become the neighborhood chicken lady (somehow not different from cat lady). I contend that as soon as the first 4 arrived, I WAS the neighborhood chicken lady.

I've been watching the chicken thing happen to you for the last week or so mjd and just chuckling to myself. It always starts out with a first post that says something like...I just want to get a few chickens for eggs.
