"You just go down in the morning, and put the chickens in the tractor..."

Maybe put hinges at the top and a latch at the bottom, instead of sliding?
Sure, as long as it's manual, I can make it hinge. But like, if it were to have a chunnel positioned overtop, how do I actually access it to open the door!? It sounds like the chunnel would need it's own little spot to pop open just to reach inside and open the chicken door, right?

If you put the door on the inside, you can go into the coop to open or close the door.

Or you could run a stick or piece of wire from the door through the wire mesh of the chunnel to work the door with.

This is intriguing! I love the idea of setting it up so that the kids could run out and help me let them out (i.e. A four year old can open it, but not a two year old ... Or a raccoon lol)

You attach the Chunnel to the outside of the coop where you put the pop door and put the door on the inside. It can slide to the side or hinge. Ground level is perfect for it.
