I just watched a PBS documentary on netflix that you just HAVE to check out!
It's called "The Natural History of the Chicken" (2000, by Mark Lewis).
The title is somewhat misleading, because it's not at all about any chicken history. It's a non-narrated documentary that shows a couple of different people and their chickens, neighbors roosters, odd stories etc.
Actually, my husband found it and told me that the old lady giving CPR/mouth-to-beak to her frozen hen was basically ME, just ~40 years older...
I have to say, he's absolutely right...
So, long story short: You've just GOTTA watch this
