It was about 90 here today and with humidity felt like 97. I gave mind frozen watermelon rind and thought i would let them run thru the water from the hose. Well! U would have thought that I was trying to KILL them with the water! The dumbies will stand in the run during a thunderstorm and pea sized hail, but try to give them some water with the hose on a hot day and they run! Silly chickens!

Thought I'd add that this heroic girl sat on that nest for FIVE weeks. She'd already sat for 2 weeks by the time I got her some eggs. Been giving her electrolytes in the water and trying to get the food in her since her third week, even giving her breakfast in bed! Her comb is finally starting to get a tiny bit of color back.
