The only thing that worked with my son (besides threatening to "tell Dad") was to tell him that he would be taking the timeout on my lap. I would make my (then 3-5 y.o.) son sit on my lap with my arms lightly around his torso. No talking allowed. Try it. There is something about physical contact with a stoic and angry mother that takes the sass out of the little maniacs.

Yep! When I was a wee one I remember doing something wrong that I knew I couldnt hide from mom and dad, so I would just go and get the paddle and give it to mom and say lets get this over with! LOl...I totally understand where your daughter is coming from I hated to sit in the corner just give me my spanking and let me go play!
