(This is why my mom is the crazy chicken lady) When you come home see your mom deboning fish and think that is going to be for dinner.... then see your mom feeding the fish to the chickens. Then your mom says, I'm hungry and there isn't anything to eat for dinner.

I think your mom said there is nothing for dinner because she was hoping you would take her out & pay for it. Mom's are clever that way. Or if you are old enough to move out, maybe she is trying to encourage that. No offense intended, just that I had a mom too (no surprise) and know the tricks.
