You know you're a chicken addict when:

You wake up in cold sweats in the middle of the night because you cant remember if you locked the chickens up for the night, ignoring all your house doors being unlocked as you make your way out to the coop

I have that problem too, every night around ten O'clock I start freaking out that I forgot to close my chickens up even though I know I did. Or if I hear one squawk at night I immediately think that they are being attacked by predators, and I can't sleep until I check on them.

Yes, quite a few times I've woken an exasperated hubby from a deep sleep with a loud "omg I gotta go check the chickens!" He is super patient with my crazy chicken lady quirks

It probably happens a lot more of us, way more often, than any of us actually want to admit. Lol

Or, when you fix whatever broke at your house on your own, because you have chickens and you're not sure if your landlord is ok with them.
