They made good time, but thinking of the time Xavier checked the clock, good the had plenty of time before the bell rang. He knew when that long one pointed at the sky, get out fast. He gracefully landed on the ledge of the bell tower. Solander followed suit. They both crouched down so the squirrels could get down better.

Lena climbed down and stroked Solander's neck feathers. "Thank you, my mighty steed." Solander cackled as he bobbed his head and fluttered his wings. Lena giggled merrily at his antics.
