You mean, not everyone takes their ducks camping?

I'm waiting for someone to start duck play dates. Dogs have them all the time at dog parks. Why not ducks? :). Unfortunately they're afraid of other birds. Dorks.

Ok, I know that's totally overboard and ridiculous (kinda sorta) but our boys love riding in the car. They love socializing. They are my 4th and 5th children.

Good and bad reason why we don’t litter!! I have no idea where she got the bag from! She’s so cute with her tie on ready for her evening date! But it could have been bad if I didn’t see her with it on! The good she looks so cute dressed up! She walked up to the house for her nightly tomatoes and I seen she had something on her chest!

Those bags blow in the wind! It could have come from anywhere

Oh my goodness :clap:clap:clap
We haven't been camping all summer because of ducks at home and no duck sitter. :thwe would love to load them up and take them with us. . . . . but I don't think any camp site would be ok with about 20 ducks hanging out around our tent :lau:lau
Most of mine are call ducks and can fly so I don't see camping in their future.
I think the Cayugas would be a blast on a camping trip though!

Yeah.... 20 could cause an issue. Maybe pick your two favorite :)

Shh I think I'm already a crazy chicken lady lol

I can't say no to peep. He thinks he's one of us so when he's separated he feels lonely and sad and crows and calls and looks for me. He's most comfortable by my bed because he thinks we're the flock. He's sleeping beside me now.

He has not been able to bond with other chickens like he should because he was raised as a singleton. Still trying to attach him to a hen.

Soooo...I took my wife to an auction tonight... believe it or not that’s her idea of a fun Friday evening...

worked out for me because my favorite neighbor and my mail lady were there... 2 of the best people in the history of people... and only one of them has chickens ... neither has ducks :idunno...

Anyway there was this old 21’ camper there, it had been gutted and remodeled... not bad really, sorta “yard sale chic” style ... I mean I’ve paid to sleep in worse motels...

I looked it over, it was plenty road worthy, and almost (not quite but give it five years) had a classic look to it...

So the reserve price was $1000... no one bid...and the auctioneer says let’s come back to this...

Hmm...the rest of the night, I’m thinking:

We could get ducks!!!!

Ok, not fancy ducks like in those Hollywood insurance commercials, but regular people ducks, then we find us a wagon, I’ve seen wagons here and there, and I know people with kids, maybe somebody has an 11 year old that we could rent on weekends ...

This could totally work: ‘camper + ducks + kid = entertainment ‘

...I read about this on the internet ...

But then my wife bid short on one of those big redwing stone crocks that I know she wants... and it went pretty cheap... so I figured “we” weren’t in a duck camper buying kinda mood...

So I went back to talking about how the county man can’t maintain a road worth beans... this is a regular topic for the neighbor and I... but ‘oh boy’!!! , mail lady had some things to say about those shoddy road conditions... and she runs them all...all day...six a week...

...So anyway I’m thinking how lucky I am to be living the simple life of talking about the county road condition with friends and neighbors... and dreaming of “someday” ...

...ooooh that elusive someday, when I might get to camp with budget ducks and rented kids, in my “yard sale chic” camper...

... then I realized it might just be better to live vicariously through you crazy “chicken” people...

Because budget ducks and yard sale campers could work... but rented tweens!:th

Nope I’m out.
