I'm not a fan of sitting on a frozen lake, freezing, either. I had to look it up, but this is a "popple." It's actually just one popple with lots of stems popping up all over.

I’m late to the thread but just have to say that I love everyone’s comments! You all/y’all’s are so funny! I grew up in north Idaho and lived in Washington, Minnesota, Tennessee, Montana, Iowa, and now Florida, so I guess I’d be just plain confused! However, I guess I’d consider myself to be a Southie because I love the warm weather and the ocean here in SW Florida and like fried Okra. In addition, I fit into the second category of this:

(Always something crazy going on here because of “Florida Man”, which I won’t even get started on!)

Also want to give a big shoutout to whoever posted the link to the “Dear Ralphie’s Relationship Advice” thread. It’s great and should definitely be revived!

The Dux will not invade here in the true north for another 4 months or so. Depending on when our snow goes. I am hopeful for a snow free 4th of July this year.

I am concerned over the number of Dux invading us each year.. it makes me worried the alligator population is in decline.

Has anyone else wondered why Southies such as Dux_Lice try to deny their Southyness and claim to be from the North?
