I'm sorry Ralphie, I forgot you're from Minnesota, no hard feelings, I really don't like Football anyway... Don't tell my husband!!

I don’t watch it either.. but my wife’s cheesehead family goes nuts over the packers

I can understand that, wild rice is the food of the gods.

Sittin here munching on pickled okra wonderin what size bullet is used for huntin me up some "wild rice"......
Maybe bird shot.....

Ain't ever seen me some wild rice......:idunno

@cleoandtheflock , do you have D'Uccles chickens? They're so pretty. I'm an "underground" chicken keeper, I have "2" 3yr old RIR, "2" 2yr old SLW, and "3" 6 month old Barred Rock, It's been great keeping chickens in my suburban Backyard. I built my own coop and have learned a lot from the folks on this forum. My narrow sighted community doesn't allow chickens :(

You need two sticks and a canoe to harvest wild rice... and you need a ricing license.

It is yummy and not at all like white or long grain brown rice.

We have it 3-4 times a week.

I am definitely a "southie". I hate the cold, I love the beach, humid weather, and to me, it's "cold" when it gets down to around 50. I'm miserable here in Utah where it snows. One day, I'll get back to Florida!!

EDIT: Really, I'd be happy if I never saw snow again, either in real life, or pictures!
