Um, I took a chick to McDonald's once. Told the girl at the drive-thru window that this is what a chicken looks like before you cook it and put it in a sandwich.
She gave me a horrified look and got someone else to finish my order. lol

When you keep bringing your chickens in the house to give them a bath and then when they jump all over you and get you gross and scratch you, yet you still love them. For all the things they do I still love them!!!

I had to go through the bank drive thru the other day and had a dog cage in the back of the car with chickens that I was taking to be sold,and the lady asked if I wanted a treat for my dog?I said it was chickens and I didn`t think they would eat dog treats and she said what?chickens? It was so funny to see the shock on her face.She said I have heard of everything now!

you have 4 coops so that everyone can grow at their own pace & not be scared that they will pick eachother...

your teacher friend informs you about her class incubating eggs and you offer to take all 48 chicks after they hatch because she doesn't know the first thing about raising chicks and you want to save them all (and it helps add to your flock

)...

you get up an hour earlier than you used to to make sure the babies are ok even though the temp outside is well above freezing...

you go to bed an hour later because you have to go check on your babies and make sure they are comfy & safe even though you checked on them when you got home from work, and after supper, and after the kids went to bed, and after the kitchen was cleaned...

you search CL every day to see if anyone has new chicks or even chickens that they you NEED to buy...

your home page is BYC....

because of all the fun you have with your chickens you are now branching into other backyard poultry, ducks and turkey and whatever else you can sneak past your DH so that he can't tell you no
