These are so funny!!

You might be a CCL when your coop is cleaner than your living room! When you spend 25+ $$ a week on crickets for your chickens! You mow the grass three different times , with three different blade heights because you want to make sure the grass isn't toooo long! You sit on a milk crate watching the girls, while the bugs 'eat' YOU! You demand-- that they start laying OR they aren't going to get anymore crickets and then the next day you buy more crickets and there still aren't any eggs....

Emailing your DS at college the photos of the new chicks (first ever for us) in their brooder, calling him to ask him to look at the photos...

...and he says "they're so cute, and that's a nice setup and...THEY"RE ON MY BED!!!"

Screaming like a lunatic when you find your first egg! Watching your rooster climb up on your foot, waiting for you to raise your leg so he can walk up it; to eventually roost on your shoulder and do these weird little trilling/cooing sounds as he's snuggling in. Love it!!

I knew it was so when I was standing in the coop and the kids asked me what was for dinner. I hesitated looking down at happy little fuzzy butts and covered my mouth as I whispered "fried chicken from the store".
