perchie.girl :

You might be a mad chicken person when you use a very expensive Computer Modeling Software designed for Aerospace to create her perfect chicken coop.

Good job.... Yeh I have some in Autocad too. Actually most in Autocad. I was working in a SolidWorks student edition trying to keep up my skills... Yeh thats what I was doing... Honest. Oooh you drew the ducks too.... I need to draw some chickens.... um er Model some chickens. OH GAWD here I go again. Thanks for giving me the idea.

You might be a crazy chicken lady if........

You wake up out of a dead sleep to run downstairs, grab the shot gun, run outside in the snow to unload it into the neighbors dogs (rabbit shot Ugh!) dog let go of your hen and you go looking for her.... Then and only then you realize you are only wearing a tank top and underwear with no shoes and your are out in the snow and mud on your front lawn for everyone to see. Not like anyone was looking but still. My BF really wished he came down to witness it first hand instead of listening from the bedroom.

No shame for my girls

You might be a crazy chicken lady if you eyeball the stack of pallets and an excellent wooden box next to a dumpster thinking, that box would be a great brooder and I could do so much with those pallets! I agree Emmalion, no shame for the girls and I did bring the box home to be a brooder. Works great!

And here I thought I was bad using Visio. Id' use AutoCad but I dont' have it.

Each night you tell your husband, "I'm going to go put the girls to bed." And you go to the backyard, count how many are on the roost, tell them goodnight, and quietly shut & lock all doors to the coop.

You check for eggs 2-3 times a day just in case there is one more
You try to "talk" to your flock by making chicken noises and "honking" (we have one that sounds more like a duck than a chicken)
You have named them all
You and your husband sit on the back deck watching the chickens and discussing who is dust bathing, walking around, eating, laying...at that particular moment.
You tell them you're proud of them for laying so good

Your husband calls home to ask how "the girls" are doing
You have to give your dog extra attention because he feels like he's been replaced and he mopes! (which, he hasn't been replaced. He will always be our first born.)

You teach your grand daughters chicken math and allow the 16 month old to take over byc and look at pictures of ducks (she wants ducks this year) she has chickens now wants ducks.
