You people are EVIL LIKE SILKIES! (questions about bantams included)

I need to never read the chicken boards. Ever. EVEEERRR. There are so many pictures that are threatening to change my SO's nickname for me from 'crazy quail lady' to 'crazy bird lady'.

I've given up trying to resist - as soon as the 'bator's empty and I learn more about the breeds, I'm going to be getting some chicken eggs. Right now, I'm looking at Seramas - hopefully for the teeniest I can find, with the intent to breed for colour, and also at Silkies and Frizzles because.. well, they're muppets. Then today, someone posted the uberblue Wheaten eggs .. and I don't even know if those come as banties!

So.. Which of the tiny breeds are your favourite and why? These are mostly going to be pets, but some eggs would be nice. I'm so very amused by the colourful eggs! (It's one reason I love having quail. Their eggs are darling. They're almost too cute to eat.)

I like my golden sebrights!

They are second smallest to the Serama. Very pretty birds with lots of personality. They tend to be flighty, but I have a cockerel and pullet who will let me pick them up without a ruckus. I think it all depends on how much you hold them and interact with them. This cockerel, I can tell already, will be a great man for his ladies

He's very protective and allert. I'd recommend them, but be careful, these guys can fly!!!

I am a Serama fan. I love Serama roosters' tiny crows and the fact that you can let them sit in the palm of your hand.

I'm very new at this but I love my Silkies. They are very gentle birds and I can pick them up without any problem. However keep in mind that they are broody. (You might even put some quail eggs under them.) Good luck with deciding.

I have some Old English Game Bantams as well as Seramas. Both are my favorites. Both are small and hatch out teeny babies. I have three Serama babies that just hatched Friday, and I'm in love all over again.

I also love my Silkies because they're just so...posh, like a stuffed animal. I love all my birdies.

I love my silkie, Cotton. She is so lovable and gentle. She goes broody often for a few weeks at a time. Lays cute tiny white eggs. And, if you look at my avatar, she rides my horse!
