You said wait a few weeks...so I waited a few weeks...

My EE roo was that pink at 4 weeks- I'm going pullet.

Edited to add: My white EE pullet can't stand me or anyone else. My other 3 EE pullets love being held, and my EE roo is asleep on my head right now...he balances very well against the tree.

He slept in my lap for over 2 hours yesterday at the vet.

It all depends on the individual! Just like us!

I say pullet - I usually have to look at the saddle feathers on EE's also.

All chickens have their own personality I do believe and the more they are handled as young chicks the more they don't mind being around people. All of mine are trained to the color blue (I used a Maxwell House coffee container with treats to train them). When they see blue they come running and you better have a treat!

I have one 5 week old EE, and she is the friendliest little bird ever. She jumps on me to snuggle every chance she gets. She likes to nap behind my neck. Here she is at 3 weeks

I just love her.

And my vote is for pullet.

I love my babies no matter. And I'll get that little stinker to like me if it's the last thing I do. But I still hope it's a girl

I'm leaning roo. This is going to be the determining factor though: look really careful at those back bottom tail feathers. Are they curled at all? If you look at him/her from the back, you should be able to see if there are any wispy curled tail feathers starting to come in.
