I stood up and walked closer to the group while Assyra ate blades of grass behind me."We should start towards the forest don't you..."I then suddenly stopped talking and moving but listened with all my soul."Geese!"I turned around quickly and like a crazy person mimicked a honk my goose let out her voice as well.Sure enough like I had hoped over some trees came a large flock of geese flying very low."Follow them they are going to lead us to water!"I started limping as fast as I could my goose following.

I limped after her. Simba happily trotted after me.

I tied a leash around the crate, threw my stuff inside, and dragged it behind me. I figured I could somehow make a sled later but the crate would work for now.

I kept limping/running until we went over a small hill in which the geese had flown over and sure enough was a slow flowing river.My goose had followed and stood beside me honking at the geese landing in the water."Yay! Well at least we won't die of thirst! We have to figure out a way to filter the water though.....I think I remembered a method too!"I said excitedly I started walking towards the water.

I followed the the group to the water. I wasn't very energetic at the moment do all I said was "Cool."

I got to the rocky bank of the river and my goose entered the water splashing and playing.I knelt down on my good leg and started digging a hole.When I finished it was about 1 foot deep and 1 foot wide.Water slowly trickled into the hole."Anybody have a water bottle?"I said.

 

[Americano Blue]

I nodded and got out my water bottle. I tossed it up in the air, caught it and handed it to her.
Griz stayed far away from the water.

"Why thank you!" I said after taking the water bottle.I waited for water to fill the hole and for dirt to settle then I filled the water bottle and looked for a very sunny rock."If it sits in the sun for the day it will be parasite and bacteria free water."

I shook my head. "I think it would be safer if we find a way to boil it. What I really need is plastic... " I tried to remember all my mentor taught me.

"Boiling would definitely be best but I suck at making fires so I figured this is second best unless we found a water purifier,"i said ending my sentence with a sigh.My goose ate weeds,bugs,and other pieces of river debri.I looked over at her."Well at least one of us isn't hungry,"I said with a smile.

I looked at the others. "Any of ya'll good at making fires?" I wished I was on a plane to a sled dog race, then I would my survival gear, lines, sled, gear, food, and more dogs.

Griz looked over at the goose.
