Glad to see so many new folks.
I don't have the answer about the yogurt for chickens other than I do know that for humans, yogurt with active cultures is the best thing to clean out any bad bacteria in our intestines. When my DH had a viral intestinal infection (dr. said, most likely from the handles of shopping cart as we had not been anywhere else) that they could not give us any meds for a virus ...but to eat yogurt as that is the fastest way to clear up stomach/intestinal infections. So .....my way of thinking it has to be good for the animals, too. There have been documented reasons for the chickens to have yogurt on this site but I can't remember where they were.

The good bacteria is the main reason as it helps build a healthy immune system. Also being full of other nutrients it is good for them. Just remember better nutrition going in makes better eggs coming out.

On a hot day it sure is a nice cold treat as well.

Oh ok, that makes sense. Do they have to be a certain age before giving it to them?
