Hello, this is my first time here so please bare with me lol.
I have a two month old white silkie, i put her and her sister into a coop with other young chicks ages 2-3 months old. I have a bigger silkie/polish mix who appears to be henpecking the two new ones. I went to the store, came back and she was on her side, looked like she was dead, her leg was shaking so i grabbed her, ran inside the house where its warmer. I gave her Corid and gaterade (yep gaterade works rather well.) She is now standing on her own, but she will only open her eyes for a min, then she keeps them closed and stands there .What else can i do. I see no blood anywhere. I think she was pecked on her head. She is better than when i brought her in...but no more improvement. What else can i do to help her. I love this baby.

This is her. I know, i feel so bad for her. She is so sweet and thank you.

Corid is for coccidiosis, so I wouldn't be giving it to the injured chick. Keep her warm, quiet and isolated from the other chickens so you can observe her. If she was pecked in the head and/or neck, she may show signs of neurological damage, such as poor balance, inability to walk or stand properly, inability to hold her head upright, inability to eat or drink, etc. If these symptoms persist for more than a few days, you may have to consider putting her down. If you're not seeing any of these signs, she may just need time to heal from the injury.

Welcome to BYC! Hopefully this article from our learning center can help you point out what went wrong https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/integrating-chickens-step-by-step.72815/ . I got it wrong my first go and lost myself a $125 dollar bird so lesson learned here.

Best wishes! @penny1960 @aart @KikisGirls @N F C @ronott1
