Young chick henpecked badly..help

Hi and welcome to backyard chickens! I am sorry you lost the chick.

It is risky whey you introduce new ones to the flock. It works best if you put them in at night when you will be able to monitor them the next day.

My guess is brain damage. Silkies are prone to brain injuries because of their vaulted skull.

Check out the learning center in the forums for help in introducing members to flocks and any other question you have! Also, post an intruduction in the new members forum

Thank you so very much. I will miss her. I didn't know that about their heads. Someone else mentioned that earlier .Glad i know that now. Ahhhh put them in at night. Good advice, thank you .Ill check out that page for sure. Thank you again for the welcome and for the condolences.
