young chicken stoped laying

I have a younger black copper maran that started laying early summer. she hasn't laid an egg now for about three weeks. is this normal for young chickens or is there something I'm missing? she seems healthy eats and drinks is bright and active. could it just be this unbearable heat? thanks

Could be the heat, but other things to check....a) Is she showing signs of being broody b) Is she laying eggs elsewhere c) Is something taking her eggs.

I have checked around and haven't seen any eggs, that was the first thing I thought of the area for the chickens is enclosed so I don't think anything can get in. All the other chickens have blue eggs so my brown egg missing is pretty obvious. Not sure what to do. How can you tell if she's broody?
