Hello, I have a 8 month old RR who was laying an egg a day when all of a sudden she has stopped laying. Her tail looks a bit droopy and she keeps away from the rest of the flock. She usually hides under the bushes and doesn't eat a whole lot. I mean she is drinking and eating, but her poop is either clear water or real runny and it sticks to her feathers under her vent. She will take treats, and eat grass, but she isn't laying at all. On a side note, she lays a double yolker every other egg, and they are HUGE eggs. I can't tell if she is egg bound, or what. I am not sure what to look for or do for her. I tried the warm bath and it seemed to soothe her, but at this point I am not sure what to do! She is in our backyard flock of 6 total, and all the other girls are fine? I have been checking her vent for a prolapse and that is clear too. Help? Thanks!

I am sorry your hen is ill. At this point I think you should search the threads for more of the egg bound treatments, including what to do if the egg has broken inside of her... with eggs that massive, it sounds like it could be a possibility. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Best of luck!
