So last week, I had the misfortunate opportunity of having a raccoon dinner guest for 3 nights in a row till I caught it and dispatched it. It started with my 3 bantam roosters, then it was 2 young pullets, and then the final time it was my oldest and biggest hen(barely over a year old) and my youngest pullet. All 3 times my Pekin duck was in her box tucked under the ramp in the coop. Would those experiences have been enough to stress her out and quit laying? If so, what can I do to help her?

Absolutely. Combined with the heat most are facing, the possibility of a fall molt, and the stress of the attacks - she may not resume laying for a considerable period of time.

The interesting thing about it is that she laid after the first 2 times but when my oldest went was when she stopped. When I had first introduced them those two fought a lot but after 2 weeks of that they became best friends and ruled the yard together. I guess losing her friend threw her over the edge. Thank you for your input
