I have 2 Cream Legbar roos about 3 months old. Still peeping. Well this morning my hubby wakes me up at 530am telling me my chickens may be in danger. A strange noise was coming from the coop. I jump up throw on some clothes and run outside. I get there and the motion sensored lights come on. Im searching for all my birds looking for predators and signs and such. The girls are flocking at the door thinking its time to come out and free range. Im searching frantically. I find nothing. Well "The General" starts his usual crowing.. And that sound rings through again. As im looking around one of the young roos is arching up like "The General" and the squeaking honk noise escapes him. All i did was laugh all the way back to the house. Love the chickens and all their quirks..

Yeah, their first crows are rather pathetic, but funny. One of mine tried to give it the full beans (his version, at least) and scared himself so silly that his panicking at the noise he had made sent the whole flock running to the bushes for cover!
