Young rooster FREE to good home only

We have a lovely young rooster that we will give away free but to a good home ONLY. We do not want him to go and be food for a python or something. He was a hatchling at a elementary school and, of course, when he got too big they sent him out to foster. I simply can't keep him. I can only have hens. I am in Tracy, California. I won't ship him. I hope we can find a home for him nearby. He sits on our shoulders. He is very socialized and a sweetheart. I think he is an araucana-type. I think he is about 4 weeks old. Aww, posts like this make me sad. I hope your little roo finds a great home! People do love the EEs and EE roosters turn out absolutely gorgeous, so I think that makes it hopeful. Try Craigslist as well, but just be clear that you will only give him up to a good home and don't make it free on Craigslist. (Even if you don't plan on charging the person who takes him, post that there will be a rehoming fee for his own safety.) Good luck!

Thanks for your response. It, too, makes me sad. Good suggestion about craigs list and "re-homing fee." I will try that.
