So I have a young turkey poult. I am not sure exactly how young it is, but it hasn't even lost its down on its head and neck. I've had it 4 weeks tomorrow. So I'd say that it is only 4 weeks old. I know it is a bronze turkey but don't know if it is a broad breasted? How do I tell the two apart? anyways, this little turkey has a hard bump on its head above its left eye. Does anyone know what this could be? The only thing I can find is possibly pox but that only affects bald areas. Tommie isn't bald yet. Any help???

Anything from an insect bite, to an oddly shaped sinus. Just keep monitoring it. Did it suddenly appear (bug bite/bumped head), or did it slowly develop? (oddly shaped sinus or unusual growth).

Looks to be a BBB.

It suddenly appeared. I have been wondering if it is a "bumped its head thing". We just recently moved them into a bigger temporary outside coop that is heated. I think it may have bumped its head. Its hard though? It hasn't changed any yet, not gotten bigger or smaller. I thought they (we have 2) might be BBB except that they are growing really slowly!! (We haven't restricted food yet either, they were supposed to be pets but we didn't know that our local feed store only sold "assorted" bronze, so it could be BBB or SB) They are not that food oriented, they do not eat all of the time at all & between them and our 2 ducks they really don't go through that much food.
