They are still the best decision i ever made, though...
Advice: Get the biggest, toughest coop and pen you can, and then get another one. they don't stay small for long, and sit with them for a while everyday until they trust you and start climbing into your lap(with old ratty clothes) and make them love you.

Learn about roosters ahead of time, and have a rooster plan.
Because even if you try to purchase all hen chicks, a rooster will sneak in there sometimes. It's kind of like "all guns are loaded" - all chickenkeepers are at risk for roosters!
