Your 2025 Garden

I am giving up on growing collards in my garden. They haven't done well, and by the time they get any size at all, something comes along and eats them down to the rib. I might try some in the greenhouse this fall or next spring.
See if you can get some to overwinter. The root in the spring should be more than strong enough to throw off the pests and come back.

Do you mean the gnawed on plants, or to plant some seeds now? My first frost can be anywhere from mid-September to mid-October.
Your choice. I tend to keep plants that have been attacked and recovered, but starting new is helpful in other ways.

I had one plant that survived five winters in northern Utah, and its descendants were running 1-4 years when I left.

Picked tomatoes

This morning I pulled 2 zucchini and pruned the yellow squash. This gives the sweet potato vines more room.
Picked some butterbeans.

A few of the pie pumpkins were ready.

This is a volunteer watermelon. I had not checked on it lately. I looked at it today and it is a Sugar Baby. Must have been a seed from last year. There are 4 melons on this vine.
Accidental produce. I'll take it!
