Your 2026 Garden

I just plant like 4-5x more seeds than I need lol
For me it depends on how old the seed is. New seed, 2 seeds per cell. 2-3 year old seed =3 seeds per cell, and so on. Keeping the seeds in the crisper drawer of the fridge helps them last longer, I've successfully used 10 year old seed from some of the longer lasting seeds like beets.

I don't plan on getting anything put in the ground except the potatoes and maybe some onions and garlic. I have been thinking about peas but we're going to be in the upper 70s to 80s the rest of the week and into next week so maybe.
I was impatient and started my peas about 2 weeks ago 😅 I figured "i know its 2 weeks early, but the weather is 2 weeks early too!" Plus I put them under a bottle for a mini greenhouse.
As you can see they are doing well

Where are you that you plant peas indoors? I've never heard of that as we plant them direct in the garden.

That's actually a cool idea though, to have fresh peas in the winter!

I bought onion bulbs today. I've never planted them before, but I'm at least going to try! 🤓
I do onions every year! my first year they weren't very successful because I buried them too deep you want the top part of the onion set to be above the soil line so there should be a little bit of white above the soil line when you plant them if you completely bury the white part you're not going to get good bulb development and they may rot

One of my tomato pots is getting the stink eye right now. There is what looks suspiciously like another tomato seedling at the base of the first seedling. 🤨 Best guess is they were two seeds stuck together or else I accidentally dropped the seed for Pot #4 into Pot #3 because that one remains seedling-less.
Apparently it was two stuck together, because Pot #4 finally had a sprout peek through the soil today. So guess I’m 5 for 4. 🤪
