Honestly Easter egger and Marand their super hard to get here my local store has easter egger but only in straight runs and I don't want to risk a rooster and marans are no where I don't want to get them online because of shipping is like $50+ but I may want a bantam not for sure. Sadly I can't get any till some of my current chickens die the coop is full

Have any of you ever thought of collecting some of your birds feathers? so later when they are gone you will always remember them.
I have thought of it. But it would kinda be sad!

well it wasn't because of them being dead I just noticed my chickens butts are fluffy looking and probably would make good feather pillows, then I thought that's probably where feather pillows come from
