It started shortly after I joined BYC. There was a user whose avatar made my heart go pitter-patter.

This avatar had two frizzle bantams, one white and one spotted, sitting side by side. It was THE CUTEST THING EVER!! (sadly, I can't find the user with that avatar 'cause I wanted to PM him/her to see if they breed those birds because I would love to get one).

I quickly started noticing everyone's avatars. And, I thought I would just give you a shoutout so you would know I have a crush on your avatar:

I have found myself so drawn to photos of chickens with, I dunno, spunk or character. I just love looking through the sticky thread here for the upcoming calendar entries ... and the stink-eye thread is so great.

In fact, I wish the following would make an avatar out of their entries which are my most favorite(s):

Thanks <3ChickenForever,
It is the last pic I took of our favorite little girl who grew up to be...a man. We had to return that little roo before he started crowing, back to the chicken farm he came from to be swapped out with a girl.

We miss Clara Bill, as he/she became known...

MyShunShyn, glad you saw this post...I had no idea if any of my favorites would!

I just now figured out how to show the avatar pics by using the search tool.

1. Click the "search" link in the top blue bar on any BYC page.
2. In the first "Search Criteria" section of fields, enter the desired avatar name in the "Author Search" field (cut and paste).
3. In the last section "View search results" select "Author" in the "Sort by" field.
4. In that same section, enter "Posts" in the Show Results" field.
5. Scroll down to see the avatar in question.

I believe this is the photo you are talking about...

These are my babies... Elizabeth and Prince William.

They are both under 10 oz in weight and have the sweetest disposition. I purchased 4 of them at a few days old from Bailey... (PhiladelphiaPhlock). He has some really beautiful birds and I do believe he ships.

These two are mine, and my mother has the other two. They visit on weekends.

This photo was taken a few weeks ago... I will get a more recent one and post it so you can see how far Prince Williams feathers have come. They are only a couple months old in this picture. They are both the sweetest birds I have ever had, and they are my first Seramas and Frizzles. Workday Chicken Pics even used this picture for one of their days.

Here's Elizabeth when she was about a week old...

I'm glad you like my babies.

I'm SO laughing at your name and their names. How perfect.
Perhaps you'll let your two have some babies and give them proper royal names as well?

With them so small, I'm wondering if the roo will make much noise crowing, etc.? I would just love to have some of those birds, so thanks for the breeder reference.

that's funny. I never put the 3 of our names together like that.

Prince William crows, but it is rather a small crow. You can't really hear him, and when you do, you aren't quite sure what the noise is. These two live in the house in a rabbit hutch. The have a shelf for their food and water, a perch to sleep on, and plenty of room to bounce around. They get diapers on their bottoms and can run around the house when we are home, and when I let my other girls out into the yard from their run, the itty-bittys get to go out too. They stick pretty close to me though.

If they mate, I will probably let them hatch, but I know mating a frizzle to a frizzle could be bad... something about weak feathers and they end up bald.

Diana

I didn't know that about mating frizzle to frizzle... let us know how it goes if you decide to go for it. As for me, I can only have one more bird, and I have all hens, so I won't have a mating problem.

I don't think anybody would ship just one bird, so unless I want to drive to Philly, I guess I better look closer to home here in the South.
Thanks again!
