Your Dogs thoughts on chickens ~ a poll

My old dog thought the chicks in the house where literally her babies. She loved them and would keep guard over them. Also chased the cats away when they got too close

I have had 3 diff dogs at diff times and they would all ignore the chickens. All my roosters have been good boys, and easy to deal with also...I must be weird.

My dog is convinced that sitting will earn him treats. So every time the chicken treats come out, down he goes. He also knows when I'm collecting a bowl that I fed the chickens with and will jump up next to me until he gets to lick the non-existent leftovers .

Also, any cracked egg or super dirty egg is a 'dog egg' on my farm, so she follows me each time I collect eggs to see if there are any dog eggs. That ones on me She just eats them whole. Shell and all

the day the chickens arrived my dog definitely watch them as they were food, I had to tell her that they weren't and she accepted the fact.
now I can leave her with them and I know she wouldn't do any harm: they live with us and she protects them just like she does with any other "property"

Our dog is not allowed into the chicken run at all. I don't let her get too close to it either, as it scares the birds. She probably would go for them if she had the chance, so I make sure she doesn't have the chance.

Yes that is a smart . My dogs are not allowed in the run either .

I didn't vote in the poll because none of the options really fit my girls.
Neither of them ever bother the chickens, but they don't ignore them. They seem to love them. Lol.
