Your Favorite Chicken Contest - Ended August 24th - Winners Posted (everyone) & Prized FINISHED.

This is Erica. She demands attention!!! If you hold another chicken she throughs a fit and she loves to come up to anyone who gets close to the coop. I i check the nest boxes she will come inside and hope into one so that you can pet her. She always makes you feel wanted and makes sure that you know she is there. If she sees you she will squak until you come vist her. One time I tried takeing a picture of another chicken and she jumped on my back. She changed my view of production reds completly.
cute cute

This is Henrietta-the-wonder-chicken

Favorite chicken of both me and my dh. She was the calmest, most productive, friendliest chicken you could imagine. Infact dh says she was 'pure chicken'. Here we have the embodiment of all things a good chicken is. One of her funniest traits was to come up and tap on your leg or foot when she needed attention or treats.

I'm thinking she was on-in-a-million.

Askew, Jersey Giant hen has always been my favorite. She loves to sit in my lap and has never given me the stink eye. She has wonderful amber-colored eyes.

The- most- sassy, beautiful hen ever! Cooper, the light brahma hen who is very friendly and very... Fat!
(excuse the grass beak)

I don't have a 'favorite'... I have 'favorites'! One of my favorites is my Polish hen, Shanaynay. This picture is one of her sitting in my kitchen after recovering from bumblefoot surgery. She is the ideal lap chicken, in the way that if you set her in your lap, she will never move. She'll literally 'nod off' and fall asleep in your lap! Shanaynay is very funky, just for her looks, and is always a favorite at my local county fair. She is very sweet, and puts up well with being cuddled, as long as she gets treats afterwords...

Some of my other favorites are my bantam Brahma pullets! There are three of them, and I refer to them as the Triplets, because from far off, I can't tell who is who! They are very nosy, and like following people around in my yard. There are times when they nearly get stepped on from crowding around my feet! My Brahmas are also very fond of flying onto someone's back and shoulders, so you always have to watch out!

See? I told you they were nosy!
