Here is a picture that shows my hoop houses way in the background . Sorry such a bad shot...so far away...

third pic shows the inside a little...

I built them larger with a door, so I can walk in myself...I move them with the ATV and a chain

Hoops, coop, run all protected by 500ft of electronet...too much time and $$$ invested to have attacks!!

Hoops are for meaties and turkeys

The biggest is 10x16
then 10x10
and 10x8

Made of treated lumber, cattle panels, chicken wire, etc

It's been awhile and still no meaties here...yet.

I know for my layers I have about 8sf. each (Though 4 is usual).. How many sf. do meat birds need?
I love seeing your pictures, thank you soo much!

Most people say 1.5sq ft. per bird for meaties.

Here's mine - we repurposed parts of an old carport frame and then my husband added the wood for windblock/door/pulling support/etc. It's smaller than I'd like at 5'x7', but works fine for the 14 I have in there now. It's hard to see, but the bottom 2' is hardware cloth - some sides also have the chicken wire over that because apparently my husband didn't feel like cutting it!
