And now I read that the drummer and cofounder of this band, Ginger Baker, passed away today. RIP.

Jim Peterik wrote "Eye of the Tiger," at Sly's request. My favorite song Jim did though was " Vehicle." Jim lives within a few blocks of me. Many years ago he did a free concert at the elementary school. When I walked in, no one was there. So I took a front row, center seat.

No one later, asked me to move. Great concert. I didn't know he'd be selling his CD and autographing it. Didn't have any money with me.My son refused to come with me because he didn't want people to see me. All the kids knew me from assemblies I attended and I knew most of the parents. I didn't even have white hair then.

Life is a curve ball. I miss the music created by true artists, and loathe the commercial production "pretty face/manufactured trendy stuff" they try to shove down my throat & label it as Today's HIT... Stop pushing borderline pornographic music repetitiously on the radio & I might consider listening again.
