I saw a few videos dissing the Salvation Army. I don’t think anyone can seriously believe half the nonsense those videos were spouting.

We get a great bell ringer at Walmart. He is always smiling- doesn't harass anyone for money. He also sings and has a beautiful voice. He blesses people as they leave the building whether they donate or not. Folks make sure he has hot coffee when he needs it. I always save the donation till near the end of his stay - so I can give him one big one.

I support Salvation Army. Other charitable organizations as well like Amvets.
Here in Chicago, there are reports each year on the news about GOLD COINS that are anonymously dropped into those kettles. Certain individuals donate without the need to be known.
I would say, that is definitely from the heart.

My father always said when he was in the service that Red Cross charged soldiers for coffee. Salvation army did not!
