I love your coop! Esp the door, its what I wanted, but we had an old panel door already so used that. I have a garden I just planted (out of the reach of pecks) outside the run and it makes such a difference to the whole structure, I love the flowers you have, so pretty!
I let my three year old and his birthday party guests decorate mine. Show this to your husband, and pretty much anything you do will be lovely and acceptable in comparison:
I love how most coops look like either oversized doll houses, play houses, or toddler fun centres...lol...my daughter asked me if she and her broher could help me add a touch of colour. I think its a great idea to let your children or grandchildren help in the decorating...lol...I let my daughter help me in the nursery and I ended up with yellow handprints all over the place. it looked really cool!!! I will be paiting my coop beige with a touch of barn red. In the run I will add a few of the plastic washable toddler toys for the chickens to inspect...lol..I have a few other things too. I can wait to be finished with it so I can take some pics.
I like mine to look good so they don't trash up the yard.

Not sure what the New Ketucky Speck coop will have as decoration. We're thinking of callign the Kentucky racing chickens and puttign race horses on the outside.
