Linda
With those we meet friendships grow
the light shines down around us all
One thought to keep,
is that our loved ones visit us here
Flooding love and blessings that keep us clear
Parts of our lives may leave us numbed,
Memories feel sun kissed and warmed
And yet today seems cold
and wandering
tomorrow may echo the loss thats sits upon your soul .
Just remember your friends are alongside you
in the threshold of life, encouraging and hopeful,
SO
Dont shut that door!
Life is to live and your friends are near
This is your chance
Shine !
And make things clear that you can go on,
creating your choices,
And those feelings of the walls closing in on you
When you feel as though you cant continue
Call on your pals up here in Maine
We will remind you of laughter and fun,
The ghost hunts and knocking trees
Linda A. flailing along, sitting down and sharing recipes
Please keep our numbers close to your phone
no matter how far, you are NEVER alone!

I wrote this for a older friend of mine that has just lost her husband to cancer, sold their house that same month(!) and just left for Florida for the winter.
The ghost hunts are more about this group of ladies laughing and teasing each other, and the funniest thing this summer was when Linda A.'s camp seat made a noise, she was looking for where the sound came from and it gave way, dropped her fanny on the ground, rolled backwards. After we all was up, grabbing for her, unharmed her pocket began playing this chimming as her phone rang and her son wanted a recipe. We just couldn't help but laugh. Women in a group means good times. Hope you enjoyed the poem. Thanks.
