Your Thoughts on Belly-Button Piercings

I had one about 10 years ago, too. "BK" - before kid! I miss my nice abs -sigh- - it did look cute, but it never healed, and after a year I took it out. It bothered me all the time.

I like it, but only on girls who are fit and have a toned stomach.

To me, it's like a girl is trying to hard to get attention and seem racy. A flat stomach is prize enough, no need for metal in there.

Why? I don't understand the practice and don't find it particularly attractive, but I will have to admit that I don't find piercings of any sort attractive. What could be more attractive than the body one was gifted with?

I had my bellybutton pierced for 7 years..I would still have it, but the hospital removed it in February 2009 when I was sick. I had my nose for probably 5 years until I took it out for an interview and it healed up so I couldn't get the ring back in.

My nose was my favorite piercing. I had a couple others but those I had to remove because one was nearly ripped out and I didn't want it to happen again..worst pain ever.

I love piercings and tattoos, but there are some people who should not have them. I understand loving your body and I see that as a good thing, but some body types can't properly heal certain piercings and I don't see the point of putting yourself through all that trouble for nothing.
