Anyone else have an issue with this in their feed. The freshest feeds I'm finding local to me are going to be Poulin through a small family farm dealer, but I just really can't stand the smell of this stuff.
Tried it before with my rabbits. Buns liked it all right and the price was good, I just really don't like the smell. And then I thought the meat tasted a bit like it. :(
I'm calling the feed rep this afternoon to see if they have other options I can get my hands on, otherwise I might have to go with the best Tsc has to offer.

Yucca Extract is in a lot of feeds. I think they use it as a pre or pro biotic. Which Poulin grain are you using? Their 20% layer gets good reviews, but it is mostly canola, which can make eggs in some hens taste funny. I have used their turkey grower & that did not have any weird smell, like Purina or Nutrena does for me.

I am just starting out, first chicks are due in this Friday. But I've used their 16% rabbit feed before.
Took the opportunity to sniff the chick feeds while at the farm store and they all had that extract scent I couldn't stand with my rabbits. I was hopeing(sp?) someone has used it before enough to reassure me that " No it wont flavour the meat or eggs any"

Haven't had the chance to speak with their feed rep yet. Had a familial emergency that has had me doing 3-4hrs of barn chores a night ontop of my own critters.
