Yuck, spring cleaning stinks!

That's what I've been telling DH, but he won't go for it.

Haven't started my spring cleaning. I like to wait until it's nice enough that I can open all my windows and get some fresh air going. Otherwise all I smell are cleaning fumes.

I built two worm bins and made maple syrup, does that count?

True, but this is the only week you can justify it with the offical National Procrastination week excuse heheheeee

Lol. Actually, I find it incredibly ironic that I chose procrastination week to do my spring cleaning. I guess if you procrastinate all year, you've gotta switch it around, otherwise I'd have to lay in bed and sleep all week, because I'm not sure how much more I could procrastinate compared to normal, lol.

I actually don't mind cleaning and organizing too much, it just takes me forever with my two-year old helping.

It always feels so much better once you're done!

OH and my recommendation to you would be to donate your old bed sheets (and towels, blankets, etc) to your local animal shelter. They always need extra towels, as you can probably imagine.

OK...here is what I have done so far on spring cleaning.

I went to Honduras a few weeks ago on a mission trip. Seeing how others live with much less, I have been purging here.

/while I was gone my DH and kids cleaned the kitchen cupboards, dusted the baseboard, and the high cobwebs...things I dont' like doing!

The count:

Thursday night:
22 walmart grogery bags full of clothes, mine and youngest, (didn't tackle husbands) and we all share a closet. Took them to a church that does a free clothes day once a week.

Saturday (today):
Tackled the garage and closet under the stairs. So the garage I got a garbage bag of shoes and one of clothes that were hand me downs. These are going to Honduras with a group in a couple of weeks. I also got 2 garbage bags full of winter clothes and boots to head to the church that does free clothes.
Downstairs I got 6 garbage bags full of clothes that didn't fit my kids anymore. These are also heading to Honduras too.

Everything is loaded in my van to deliver tonight and tomorrow. I cannot believe how much stuff we had that we weren't going to use!

So much for procrastination! It is raining and cruddy today so a perfect day to clean!

Sarah
