YYYAAAHHHOOO here we go a-hatchin for the first time!! Due 2/19

Not doing anything until tomorrow afternoon. That will be the end of day 23. Not really a rush. Next batch not going in until next week.
 
Egg topsies done tonight.

6 additional split lavender/lav ameraucanas 4 clear - were too dark to candle and 2 quit.

1 olive clear 1 silkie early quiter.

2 more Blue/black ameraucanas fully developed dead - not shrink wrapped.

1 Dark brown - my mix clear - too dark to see anything when i candled.

FINAL COUNT

11/12 my cochin mixes
3/5 FLF Blue/Blk Ameraucanas (2 Black, 1 blue) 2 died
2/4 Chicken stalker possibel pure lav Ameraucanas 1 split, 1 LAV!! 4 were clear - 2 quit
7/8 sonew (one olive-clear and 1 silkie-quit )


Not counting clear/infertile eggs - 79% hatch rate for my first time!!


The one with the neck problem is improving. He can control his head. some and is trying to eat and drink. The rest of his body is strong but he spends a lot of time on his side.

The bator was getting a bit ripe! At least I know I gave those eggs every possible chance.

My next eggs are on the way. SOOO excited!!! FBCM and Moltted Javas from Onthespot and Welsummers from okiehen. And cochins from melissa.
