Zane Made REAL Progress (New Pics Pg 99)!RIP Lorelei...

That is sooo wonderful! I've read every page but haven't posted till now (sorry about that) I just wanted to chime in and let you know that we are all rooting for you, your flock and Zane! What a wonderful guy and what a wonderful chicken mama you are!

Zane is doing well, continually trying to make the weaker leg work with the stronger one to stand. I let Gypsy in with him yesterday. He was communicating with her and she had her head beside his and he grabbed her, LOL. What he thought he was going to do after that, without the real use of his legs, I have no idea, but it was a good sign of his improving health, I think.
Ruby isn't looking well again. She is losing weight and I think she and Lorelei are destined for the same fate. She's acting more energetic, but I can tell she is getting thinner. Her crop is very huge and hard and we keep giving her olive oil and massaging it to be sure it isn't impacted. If she's having crop problems, that would explain the weight loss. Rosemary actually sat on a nest for awhile yesterday, but no egg. Hopefully, she's still okay. Her weight seems okay so far.

I though Ruby was in the clear. I sure hope she turns around for the better again.

It's great that Zane keeps working that weaker leg. It's the only way it will gain the strength to hold him up and move him around.

Glad things are doing well with Zane! Hope he will get right back to breeding business soon! Got to keep those girls chatting with him and maybe flirting with him for the good times ahead!

Glad your father is doing well....looks like he would be in for a long recovery. I hope he has a sense of humor in all of this ordeal.

I am so glad that boy is doing so well!

Hopefully it won't be to much longer and he'll be ready to run.

Sorry to hear about Ruby. I thought that you had her and Rosemary both cleared up and on the mend.

Ruby and Rosie are acting normally, which is why I thought Ruby was doing better. Just like Lorelei, I picked her up and was a little taken aback by how thin she felt. She did seem to be having crop issues-which is probably why what we did last time fixed the problem, or seemed to fix it. Nothing to do but pay attention and see that she isn't impacted.
