Thought you'd all like to know that Zane is now taking two or three steps up on his feet, with the help of his wings flapping for balance. One side is definitely much weaker than the other, but he took REAL STEPS! Now, I hope to see him do it without using his wings to help him.

Yeah!!! Go Zane! Even using his wings for balance it is a good step forward!

It certainly is some major progress! It will be awhile before he's good enough to put back in with the girls and hold his own, but I can see it happening in a couple of months. All will be worth the trouble to have this guy as my flock leader. This is the wonderful temperament I want to pass on to all his progeny.

Oh Cyn such great news about Zane. You are doing a wonderful job with his rehab and time is telling the tail of your dedication to this young roo. It is paying off big time slow but sure with each progress. I was really praying extra hard for your Dad as I am sure he is having a hard time with loosing part of his leg. I know someone who went thru this he lost his leg 1/2 way up the thigh, was a young man and a farming accident, doesn't matter the age it is very hard to adjust to this kind of loss. Praying extra long and extra prayers for you and yours.
