Zane Made REAL Progress (New Pics Pg 99)!RIP Lorelei...

This afternoon, he seems a little better. DH was holding him in the air with his hands under his stomach and sort of rolling him around and he was popping to beat the band, LOL. Zane just lets him do anything he wants to him, bless his sweet little rooster heart. Then DH took him back to the garden to turn over a board and look for bugs. After a few minutes of semi-standing, Zane seemed very tired, so DH said to him," Do you want me to take you back in, buddy?" Zane hobbled over to him, wings dragging the ground, and let his daddy pick him up. He carried him over to me. I started rubbing his earlobes and face and talking to Zane while DH held him against his chest and Zane stretched out his neck to put his face against my cheek! I've never had one do that before. OMgosh, I melted! That is a very special, affectionate rooster.

Mr. Zaners got mealworms for the first time ever this morning-loved 'em! I also gave some to my broody Olivia. Thought they both could use the protein punch. He's eating his eggs and yogurt just fine and we'll take him for his chiropractic treatment and sunbath in the garden in a bit and I'll let you know if he seems any better today. My DH said that no human would respond that quickly to therapy, so we need to give him more time as well.

I hope you, your DH and Zane all continue to recover in your own way. Everytime I have read your threads now tears come to my eyes. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Zane may be beating the infection, it's hard to say for sure, however, he is losing muscle tone and alot of weight, in spite of still eating. It may be a race between beating the trauma/infection before he loses too much weight to be able to recover.
