Yup, I lost my big little man in February. Everyone has that one special bird, he was mine and I never realized how big a part of my life he was. He would sit on the back of the recliner with me and rest his head on my shoulder.

Try the towel, it works well, and you can hold the ends of it so he can be upright and try to walk if he wants.

I would reccomend some PT on his legs, but it sounds like there may be an issue with one, so that may not be a good idea.

My heart goes out to you and him, and you two will be in my prayers!!

That part just chokes me up! Zane does that, too. I just hope tomorrow finds him just as perky as he seemed today and just as hungry, too! He tried many times to stand today and was up on his hocks alot more than he usually is; seems like he must feel a little better.​
 
Cyn, I just thought about this, remember when I told you about Iris climbing the wood pile and a log fell and hit her leg and how badly she limped and acted like it was broken for a couple of weeks aven though I could find no injury?

I used range of motion therapy on her and after almost a month she started walking just fine.
 
I remember that, Lee. My problem is that I'm not sure its just Zane's leg. It could be his spine as well. We were doing the range-of-motion exercises, but everything was popping on him and he wasnt doing well, so decided to stop and on vet's advice, did a round of antibiotics. If he will just stand some, maybe we can do some minor therapy on the leg again, but I'd like him to rest right now. I was happy that Iris recovered and that you took so much time with her-I knew she went to the right home!
