I just worry about Violet, my last SLW girl, if Lorelei is gone. She'll have no one like her to pal around with, no other sisters. They stick together, usually. See? This is Carri's favorite picture of the Wyandotte sisters. It will be sad when two of the three are missing.

He's about the same, uses his wings to maneuver himself around. He did a stint in the hammock today with his legs hanging down, but it was very windy and a bit cool and his legs started to shake, so I think he was feeling a bit chilled. He did go to sleep in there with his mom rocking him. He's still eating pretty well, so I'm just biding my time and hoping to see him standing one morning when I go in there.

But I'm very glad to hear that Zane is improving!!

I think we're going to have to just give Zane time to recover, if its a bruised or pinched nerve. At least his spirits seem to have perked up. Lorelei is a different story, however. I fear I'll lose my beautiful Lorelei. I really thought I would lose her last summer when she was having egg issues, lost weight, went into a hard molt, and was really having a hard time in the more intense than normal heat, but she pulled through finally. This time, I dont think we'll be as lucky with her.
