I have a roo that I keep in my nursery coop. He raises chicks better than the hens do LOL He scratches up food for them. Clucks to them... Some just have that fatherly personality in them. I just love it in a roo!!

My sweet Zane only fathered one chick before he became handicapped, my Panda. She's a doll, lays cute green "golfballs" (her mama is my blue Ameraucana, Charlotte). I'm happy to see Zane looking like he has a job to do, a chance to be a real protector.
